I'm Patrick Ache.

I've done a number of things in my professional life, Lawyer. MBA, Commercial strategist, Advisor. Over 18 years, across more than 30 countries, I've sat across the table from businesses, leaders and entrepreneurs — inside boardrooms, deal rooms, and the quiet conversations that happen after everyone else has left.

Commercial law taught me how to read the fine print of a situations, corporate governance and deal-making. Business school taught me how the building blocks of business - corporate finance, organisational development, accounting, etc. Coaching and being an advisor to over 50 entrepreneurs and executives — some to 30% growth, some to 7500% — taught me the rest. The part no case study or MBA module covers.

Because over the years, I noticed something.

Knowledge isn't always the problem.

I've watched intelligent people with sound strategies fail to execute them. I've watched talented leaders circle the same limiting pattern, year after year. I've watched businesses stall on sales, growth, people and performance — where the problem everyone could see was never the one actually holding things back.

And I've watched what happens when someone finally sees it. Recognises what's really been in the way. And moves.

That observation is the foundation of everything I now do. It led me to build the Joy Index and a method I called "Let Go" — early attempts to name what I now call Joy Blockers: the things we carry that quietly limit what we're able to build and become.

I believe we weren't created just to survive. We were created to thrive. To create. To lead. To serve. To build. To love. To grow. To steward what God has entrusted to us — and, ultimately, to glorify Him through it.

Identifying our Joy Blockers, understanding them, and clearing a path past them — for founders, for leaders, for the businesses they're building — is the work.
